Rimute Maciulyte
Was born in July 5th, 1954, Goniunai village, Seredzius eldership In 1979 graduated from Vilnius Art Institute, gained the specialty of graphics Since 2000, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union. R. Maciulyte cooperated with publishing houses of „Vaga“, „Svyturys“, and „Vyturys“. She designed G. Petkevicaitė-Bite’s collection “Trails of the Stars” , illustrated “Nature’s Tale”, “Tales of African Nations”, J. Radari’s ,,Cake in the Sky”, R. Kipling’s “Jungle”, A. Churgin’s “I cannot forget” (translations of world poetry). “Elementorius” illustrated by Rima Maciulyte in 1986 was awarded the 1st degree diploma in the competition for the most beautiful book. Exhibitions 1990 – Solo exhibition (Arka Gallery, Vilnius); 1992 –“PHOTOGRAPHIC” together with Alfonsas Budvytis (Photography Gallery, Vilnius); 1993 –“PHOTOGRAPHIC” together with Alfonsas Budvytis (Photography Gallery, Vilnius); 1994 –“SALT AND BREAD”, solo exhibition (Photography Gallery, Vilnius); 1998 – Solo exhibition (“Academy” Gallery, Vilnius); 2001 –“Summer impressions”, exhibition of prints and watercolors together with Rima Gaizauskaite and Justina Agota Spakauskaite (Medical Library, Vilnius); 2005 – personal exhibition HANDS IN GLOVES – IN GLOVES HANDS. Gallery “Kaire – desine”, Vilnius and Klausuciai culture center. In 1994, together with other Lithuanian artists participated in international exhibitions at Bradley University in Illinois and Osel. “MEETINGS” is a group exhibition dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, 2019, St. John Street Gallery, Vilnius. |
