| Art critic Ignas Kazakevicius has written about my art and said that my system of symbols is anthropomorphic. States and emotions are expressed by impersonal faces with clear features, which are lightly covered with veil touch. Artist’s phantasies associate with sleep state. Kaleidoscopically, images change, and visions rub off. The chamber figure immediately becomes a fluorescent chimera, which disappears into dark blue space. But the literary plot is not the only thing in artist’s paintings. Quality painting is an integral part of Vytautas Žirgulis storytelling. When he paints, he thoroughly selects who and what will be involved in his paintings. Thus, not only timeless impressions but relations of forms can be grasped in his art. |
