The works of the painter Rimvydas Markeliunas are similar to the drawings unconsciously drawn in the margins of notebooks or notebooks, in which recognizable objects, or perhaps only abstract forms, become apparent over time. Sometimes an artist applies color until he captures an exciting moment of color and shape. These tapes are associated with words that result from responsibly thinking the uttered phrase, slowly putting the phrases into long sentences. By weaving the sentences into a single narrative, the network or contours of the objects gradually become clearer in the space of the picture, and intense internal efforts are revealed. By painting, the artist plunges into a trance state and allows associations to float freely. Like Markeliūnas, the viewer meditating in front of the painting can identify his own numinous images, which are not open to narrow interpretations, and the search for an adequate liberating and, at the same time, the certainty of the act of painting itself is turning invisible into visible. |
